Our aim of bringing together like-minded practitioners clearly has resonance in today’s world, with employee benefits increasingly high on the agenda of employers in all corners of the world.

With over 650 members, IEBA consists of 9 local branches: Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland, the Nordics, United Kingdom and the United States.

  • Belgium

    The IEBA branch in Belgium was founded in 2012. At the heart of the European Union we attract both local and international Employee Benefits professionals to our local branch events.     IEBA 18th Annual Conference - March 2018

    Once again, we will be returning to Brussels for the 18th IEBA Annual Conference, due to take place on 14 and 15 March 2018.

    This will be the 12th time we have held our our Annual Conference in Brussels.  Brussels has proved to be the ideal location where we can easily replicate and build on the previous highly successful Conferences, where we have enjoyed consistently high levels of attendance from a wide variety of countries, and also received very positive feedback ('A very worthwhile conference' - 'A good balance of subjects' - 'Great and smooth overall organisation' - 'Great opportunity for networking' - 'Fantastic dinner' - etc.).  Our tried and tested format includes finishing early on the second day so that delegates travelling by air will be able to attend the whole conference and still have plenty of time to travel to the airport to catch their flights home. The Annual General Meeting of the Association will be on the afternoon of the first day (members only).

    The programme will be announced in November and registration will open later in the year.  Watch this space!

    The IEBA branch in France was founded 28 June 2010 and today has approximately 25 members. Membership of IEBA France gives you access to a regular program of educational and networking member activities.

    IEBA France: Disability and Wellness: minding the gap!

    Further to the meeting held a year ago on Corporate Social Responsibility with Credit Agricole and the International Labour Organisation, we are pleased to look at the subject matter from a different angle: financial security of employees related to long-term illness or disability and how this is addressed in global social benefits policies.

    Paolo Marini of Zurich will present the just-released results published in October 2017 of a 3-year study focusing on income protection gaps (IPG). This study was done by Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment, Oxford University and Zurich Group and investigates how public and private sectors can work together to close IPGs. It includes actionable solutions that employers can provide in addressing this issue.

    Related to the income protection gap and expanding to overall wellbeing and protection of employees, we are excited to hear about the global social benefit programs put in place by three major French multinationals. What are they, how were they implemented and is there a return on investment?

    Annual London Wine Tasting

    IEBA has come a long way since Hugh Gallagher gave his first IEBA wine tasting in 1997. Twenty years on it is only fitting that a 20th anniversary tasting should be somewhat special.

    What better way to mark the growth and development of IEBA than by selecting a wine from each country where IEBA has a local branch?

    The lineup will therefore be wines related to Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Nordic Region, Switzerland, UK and USA.  (We indicate "related to” since two of the locations will feature wines from countries with historical connections to two of the countries listed.)  Finally, to complete our usual practice of offering ten wines, there will be a "joker round” with one country featuring twice, just to make predictions a little less easy.  A fine sample of best burgundy will be awarded to those who correctly name the provenance of all the wines in the right order.  Don’t miss this alternative IEBA educational opportunity!

    IEBA wine tastings are informal occasions for enjoyment and networking, without missing the chance to drink a toast (or two) to IEBA’s last 20 years of solid progress.

    As always, registration is on a first come first served basis given the limitation on numbers. Participants from IEBA branches outside the UK are more than welcome.

    We have had to increase the fee for the wine tasting slightly to £38 per person, but we hope that you will agree that it still represents extraordinarily good value as it includes Hugh's pâtés, terrines, cheeses, breads and fruit from Belgium in addition to the 10 wines.
